Enough with the history and numbers. Let’s get back to wine, shall we?
But first, let’s get the geography in out of the way before we get to the juicy and watering beverages. There are two sections to the Yarra Valley; Valley Floor and Upper Yarra. There are more than 300 wineries to explore – go crazy!
Have you heard of the floor? Well, in the Yarra, we called it the Valley floor. Valley floor township includes suburbs like Healesville, Yarra Glen and Lilydale. Here you can find more prominent and famous wineries such as Chandon, Oakridge Wines to Rochford Wines.
The Upper Yarra is on the southern side of the valley, and there you will find Seville, Hoddles Creek and Warburton suburbs. The younger sibling to the Valley floor, with it’s a cooler climate that bears fruits to the most varietals, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
